Family fun at Addison Circle Park

For more than 35 years, Addison has brought Bavarian traditions to North Texas through its annual Oktoberfest celebration. This year, the festival returns to Addison Circle Park from September 18–21, 2025, with authentic German food, live music, cultural performances, and activities for all ages.

Oktoberfest has become one of the region’s largest cultural events. Families, friends, and visitors from across the Dallas–Fort Worth area will gather to enjoy food, entertainment, and games that celebrate both German heritage and local community spirit.

Event Schedule

Oktoberfest takes place at 4970 Addison Circle, Addison, TX 75001:

  • Thursday, September 18: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.

  • Friday, September 19: 5 p.m. – 12 a.m.

  • Saturday, September 20: 12 p.m. – 12 a.m.

  • Sunday, September 21: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Tickets are available online. Souvenir steins will also be sold while supplies last.

Food and Beverages

German food remains central to the celebration. Visitors can expect:

  • Bratwursts, sausages, and schnitzels

  • Fresh pretzels and strudel

  • Traditional desserts and festival fare

Beverage options include imported and domestic biers, wine, and soda. Guests may also purchase

commemorative steins. At the Draught Haus Biergarten, attendees can enjoy meals while watching college and professional football games on large screens.

Music and Entertainment

Dozens of polka bands and traditional performers will provide continuous entertainment across multiple stages. Dancing, sing-alongs, and family-friendly performances are scheduled throughout the weekend. A highlight is the Glockenspiel Clock, where visitors can watch short skits when the bells chime. Each performance ends with the crowd’s signature cheer: “Prost, y’all!”

Games and Competitions

Oktoberfest includes games designed for both adults and children:

  • BierSpiele Stadium hosts barrel rolling, bier bingo, and other contests.

  • Masskrugstemmen, or stein-holding, challenges participants to hold a one-liter bier stein at shoulder height.

  • Bier Maiden Stein Carrying tests competitors’ ability to carry filled steins without spilling.

  • Mini Masskrug, a youth-friendly version, lets children join the fun.

Family Activities

The Kidsgarten offers free activities for children, including arts and crafts, chalk art, airbrush tattoos, and a Root Biergarten. Families can also enjoy the Karneval midway, which features rides, concessions, and games, along with entertainment suitable for all ages.

Addison Oktoberfest 2025 Special Attractions

  • Biercadia: A retro arcade with free-to-play classics like Pac-Man and Galaga, located inside the Addison Performing Arts Center.

  • Stiefel Studio: A silent disco with live DJs and music streamed through headsets.

  • Texas Zwei Step Area: A Texas-themed zone blending polka traditions with country-western music and dancing.

The Dachshund Dash

One of the most popular events is the Dachshund Dash, held Sunday afternoon in the Partyhalle tent. Guests can

cheer for dachshunds in costume as they race for prizes.

Host & Prost Corporate Night

Opening night includes Host & Prost Corporate Night, a networking event on Thursday, September 18th. Companies can reserve tables for teams or clients. Packages include commemorative steins, sampler platters, and table recognition.
