FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco City Council has approved a $182 million public-private partnership with FC Dallas to renovate Toyota Stadium. Opened in 2005, the stadium has been a central hub for sports and entertainment in North Texas, hosting MLS matches, U.S. Open Cup games, concerts, and international events. The renovation will modernize the facility, enhance fan experience, and prepare the stadium for future major events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup. European-Style Canopy: Seats on the east, west, and most of the north side will be covered, providing shade and protection from the Texas sun.
Increased Capacity and Comfort: The stadium will add 3,400 new seats, along with upgraded club areas, luxury suites, and fan lounges, creating a more comfortable experience for all attendees.
Advanced Technology: Audio-visual upgrades will include high-definition screens, improved sound systems, and enhanced lighting, delivering an immersive experience for matches and events.
Mixed-Use Development: The renovation includes 1.2 million square feet of office space, a 200-room luxury hotel, 200 apartment units, and 30,000 square feet of retail and dining space, creating a vibrant community hub for residents and visitors alike (Frisco City Council).
