Primrose Student Earns community support while raising awareness for Toys for Tots
A Frisco family is celebrating their hometown champion in a national competition that combines fun, family pride, and charitable giving.
Patrick, a student at Primrose School of Frisco at Main & Teel, is representing the city in Colossal’s Toddler of the Year contest. The initiative not only highlights the unique personalities of young children but also raises support for Toys for Tots, which brings joy to children during the holiday season.
Competing for a Cause
The Colossal Toddler of the Year contest highlights children across the country while also raising money and awareness for Toys for Tots. Community votes help determine placements, and Patrick has already placed fifth in his group!
For the family, the contest is about more than competition. It is a way to celebrate Patrick’s personality while contributing to a cause that supports children in need. “We’re so grateful for everyone who has voted and shared his story,” they said. “Every bit of support helps.”
Patrick’s Personality
Patrick has already captured hearts in Frisco and beyond with his outgoing nature and kind spirit. His parents describe him as a child who “has yet to meet a stranger,” always offering a smile, wave, or hug to those around him. Even on tough mornings, his gentle empathy shines through.
“Patrick spreads joy like it’s his superpower,”
his family shared. Whether waving to neighbors, greeting friends at school, or charming strangers at the grocery store, he finds ways to brighten every moment.
Everyday Adventures
Life for Patrick is full of play, imagination, and exploration. He enjoys drawing, painting, and building towers with blocks often delighting in knocking them down just as much as stacking them.
Outings with family become small adventures, whether splashing at the pool, climbing on the playground, or joining his grandfather for a morning coffee. Each activity is approached with curiosity and joy. “He makes ordinary days feel like pure playtime magic,” his parents said.
The Prize and Its Impact
The contest winner will receive $25,000. For Patrick’s family, the funds would have a lasting impact. They plan to save a portion for his education and use the rest for a family trip to create lasting memories.
“This prize would give us the chance to reconnect, laugh, and celebrate the love and support that surrounds Patrick every day,” his parents explained.
Why It Matters to Frisco
Patrick’s journey reflects the values that Frisco families hold dear community support, education, and giving back. By participating in a contest tied to Toys for Tots, his story resonates beyond his school and family, connecting to a mission of spreading joy to children across the country.
For neighbors, classmates, and local businesses, his entry has become an opportunity to rally around a young child who represents the best of Frisco’s spirit.
Looking Ahead
As voting continues, Patrick’s family remains grateful for the encouragement they have received from across the community. Win or lose, they believe his joyful personality and the support of his hometown are already victories.
“We’ll never forget how Frisco came together for us,” they said. “That support means more than any prize.”
A Community’s Pride
Patrick’s story is more than an entry in a contest. It is a reminder of the joy young children bring, the strength of community ties in Frisco, and the difference families can make together.
UPDATE:
Patrick placed 5th in his group and did not advance to the next round. We are so proud of him though as he was 5th out of 47 adorable little toddlers. We wish the remaining contestants well!
